SCRUBBER

The chemical fumes or dust generated by any process are collected and scrubbed in the scrubber to remove all hazardous partials and air alone is exhausted safely into environment. Usually scrubbing liquid used is water or other solvent chemicals are used for scrubbing based on chemical to be scrubbed. Using wet scrubber the chemicals collected can be reused.

Scrubbers can be constructed using carbon steel, stainless steel, special alloys, FRP, PP, PVC etc. Scrubber efficiencies are 99.99% .

Scrubbers are used at petroleum refineries, chemical processes, acid manufacturing plants, steel making, Industrial incinerators, Phosphate fertilizer plants, chrome plating, Phosphating, crushing, pulverizing, furnaces etc. We manufacture the following different types of scrubbers. Combination of one or two of the types can be supplied.

VENTURI SCRUBBER

Venturi scrubbers consist of a venturi shaped inlet and separator. The polluted air enters through the venturi and is accelerated to speeds between 60-180 m/s at these high velocities water is sprayed radially at the venturi throat, which gets immediately atomised. High energy and extreme turbulence promote collision between water droplets and chemical fumes in the throat and scrubbing takes place.

PACKED BED

Packed bed scrubbers consist of beds of packing elements, such as coke, lime, saddles or other elements. The packing breaks down the liquid flow into a high surface area film so that gas streams passing through the bed achieve maximum contact with the liquid film and reacts. The contaminant is absorbed into or reacted with the scrubbing liquid. Only clean air is exhausted into atmosphere.

SPRAY TOWER SCRUBBER

In spray tower scrubber, liquid droplets formed by liquid atomized in spray nozzles fall through rising polluted gases. These scrubbers operated at pressure drops of 1 to 2 inches water gauge and are approximately 70% efficient on 10 µm particles. Their efficiency is poor below 10 µm. However, they are capable of treating relatively high dust concentrations with hazard chemical property.
